How to Install Human Dummy

Get your Human Dummy mod ready in a few simple steps.

1. Download the mod

Download the Human Dummy ZIP from your purchase downloads.

2. Install the ZIP

Place it in your BeamNG.drive user mods folder. Do not extract it. If you’re updating, remove the older Human Dummy ZIP first.

3. Launch the game

Start BeamNG.drive and make sure the mod is enabled in the Mod Manager.

4. Add Human Dummy to your vehicle

Spawn a vehicle, then open Vehicle Configuration. Find the License Plate slot and select BeamRoyale Human Dummy.

5. Configure your settings shortcut

Open Options → Controls, find the Human Dummy settings action and assign a key. Use your assigned key to open the mod’s settings in-game.

Updating the mod?

Replace the old ZIP with the latest download and restart BeamNG.drive.

Already installed?

To update, replace your existing Human Dummy ZIP with the latest download, then restart the game.

Important Hotkey Notice

By default, most BeamRoyale Creator Kit mods and huds use shortcuts like ALT + Numpad1, ALT + Numpad2, ALT + Numpad3, ALT + Numpad4, and so on to open their settings panels.

If a hotkey does not work, do not worry. BeamNG.drive lets you change all of these shortcuts manually.

Go to Settings → Controls and search for the name of the mod or hud, then assign any keybind you want.

This is especially useful if:

your keyboard does not have a numpad
another keybind is conflicting with the default shortcut
you simply want to use a different hotkey setup

If the settings panel does not open, the first thing to check is the keybind in BeamNG’s Controls menu.

Installation Guide

Step 1

After purchase, open Payhip → Payments & orders → View details, then download the .zip file.

Step 2

Extract the .zip using Windows built-in extraction, 7-Zip, WinRAR, or a similar tool.

You should end up with a single mod folder, not a bunch of loose files.

Step 3

Move the extracted mod folder, or folders in the case of BeamRoyale Creator Kit, into:

C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\mods\unpacked\beamng_creator_kit\

Example:

C:\Users\ExampleUser\AppData\Local\BeamNG\BeamNG.drive\current\mods\unpacked\beamng_creator_kit\

Step 4

Start BeamNG.drive.

Open the UI editor and add the apps:

Go to UI Apps

Search for the Creator Kit apps such as Speed HUD, Jump Distance, Survival Chance, Damage Cost, and others

Add them to your layout and position them where you want

Step 5

After you add an app to your layout, go to BeamNG.drive → Settings → Controls and search for the name of the mod or hud first.

Set the hotkey to whatever you want there before using the mod. This is recommended for every BeamRoyale Creator Kit app so you can avoid conflicts and use keys that fit your setup.

Most Creator Kit mods and huds use defaults like:

ALT + Numpad1, ALT + Numpad2, ALT + Numpad3, ALT + Numpad4, and so on.

Once your hotkey is set, press it to open the settings panel.

Use the settings panel to turn the overlay on, set your options, and lock in your look.
